Nu am întâlnit încă o persoană cu autism care să nu-şi fi manifestat, într-o oarecare măsură, dorinţa să ofere celorlalţi ceva din ceea ce este ea, să le împărtăşească şi altora talentul ei sau să-I înveţe ceva pe ceilalţi. În felul lor blând, aşa cum se potriveşte firii lor, persoanele cu autism ne impun să adoptăm standarde mai înalte cu privire la consideraţia şi respectul faţă de umanitate. Când ne aflăm în prezenţa unei persoane cu autism, se impune să fim calmi şi stăpâni pe noi, tăcuţi şi să ascultăm cu adevărat. Ce credeţi că au dat de înţeles persoanele cu autism că au venit pe Pământ să ne înveţe? Aspectele cele mai importante ale existenţei umane: toleranţa, răbdarea, sensibilitatea, compasiunea şi, bineînţeles, iubirea necondiţionată. Aceste aspecte îşi fac constant apariţia în activitatea mea de consultant, oriunde m-aş duce.
