that crosses our conjoined veins
I wish you could have felt its music,
the magic chords of harmony we sought.
I wish you could have known that words
can only keep us far, aloft…
I wish you could have heard the tears
embedded in my silence.
I wish I could have cried a rainbow in your palms.
