Five fingers grew. The fig tree knew
his magic green into the blue would match
the greatness of his roots, would bring
the goodness to his fruits.
I wish you could have comprehended the light that crosses our conjoined veins I wish you could have felt its music, the magic chords of harmony we sought. I wish you could have known that words can only keep us far, aloft… I wish you could have heard the tears embedded in my silence.
